The 2010 Year in Review: In Search of...R. Kelly

Where is R. Kelly? He dropped that dud at the end of the year and simply faded away like MJ, but his attempt was way off the mark. Kellz is a perfect case of what happens when you act your shoe size and not your age. Who really wanted to listen to the 40-year-old making music for the teenagers? I'm saying, when he had his kiddie porn beef, he made his most mature, complete album and had us steppin' in the name of love. But before he even beat that rap, he was singing "Thoia Thoing" and making music for the kiddies.

A funny thing happened along the way, R. Kelly's core fans progressed into their 30's and 40's, Trey Songz jacked him like he did Aaron Hall years before and he is now irrelevant. He abandoned the sound created on Chocolate Factory and proceeded to make music for his teenage friends that are more Wild Out Wednesday than Fat Tuesdays and bricked back-to-back. I still have use for R. Kelly, my slow jam CD comes in handy every so often and "Trapped in the Closet" is downright hilarious! So, while the neighbors know Trey's name, I'm in search of Robert…
