Let's Take A Trip Down Memory Lane

The day---October 3, 1995. I was a senior at Plainfield High and in Physics class that day we watched the jury read the verdict in O.J. Simpson's murder trial. As "not guilty" was announced, the entire classroom started to cheer and my teacher, Dr. V shut the TV off and ordered everyone back to work! I wondered if Dr. V cheered on Saturday when this time the verdict, "guilty" was read?

Thirteen years ago, there was a look of relief when his trial was over. This time around, O.J. looked as if he was saying to himself, "What did these niggas get me into?" and looked like he wanted to pass out. So, thirteen years to the day that he walked away from life in prison, he's now facing life in prison.

There was no "dream team" this time around, no Johnnie Cochran to rhyme for the jury and a jury of his peers that were pissed that he got off for killing a white woman! Hell, O.J. may have had Jacoby & Meyers defending him this time. He didn't take the stand, relied on testimony from some of the shadiest characters ever to lie under oath and out his life in the hands of a jury...again!

Some people will say that there's been a feeling of having to get O.J. since he beat the murder trial, but I say that O.J. has been showing us how much of a nigga he really is. All he had to do, was go to Florida and raise his babies, not this nigga! O.J. wasn't paying taxes, was stealing DirecTV, getting into fights on the golf course, writing books saying if he had killed his wife, this will be how it went down. So, by the time he decided against calling the police and walking into that hotel room with a few niggas who couldn't wait to tell the DA that O.J. set it up and a white dude with a tape recorder, he was already heading back to jail.

But I understand Juice, he just wanted his stuff back, too bad he'll probably sit in jail the rest of his life wondering where did he go wrong? Where was AC Cowlings when you needed a real friend Orenthal?
