It truly has been a while, just over four weeks, but I've been busy! You know, work & dodging the Police wears a brother down, but I'm back! Now, let's talk about a few things...
First up, the Pink Panther strikes! The king of ignorance Cam'Ron released a couple of "dis records" aimed at Jay-Z. Publicity stunt!!! This fools career is on life support and he's reaching out to drum up some type of interest in his upcoming album. I don't even want to go much further into this, but the man with the "fruity, tootie, hootie, louie" whatever that non-rapping cat is saying needs to stay in his lane. I got a hot 16 waiting for you Killa!
Now, on to real Jay-Z news, people are buzzing about why it's taking so long for the God M.C. to make a response, Jay said it best, "Go play somewhere, I'm busy!" Let's not forget, he is President of Def Jam Records and business does not stop because someone wants to engage him in a battle. Jay-Z and Nas were in negotiations to bring Nas to Def Jam (http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1521356/01232006/nas.jhtml?headlines=true), that seems a little more important to me than making a record right now. Also, it could set the stage for the two of them to go at Cam'Ron, who's made remarks about Nas in the past.
Now, if I get this e-mail about the Jamie Foxx Special on NBC tomorrow...As usual someone with too much time on their hands has stirred up a bunch of B.S. (http://eurweb.com/story.cfm?id=24494), NBC has been running promos and Jamie has been making the rounds to do his own promo also. It's really crazy how people find a cause to get behind, come on, a TV special! People are sending e-mails like crazy and really up in arms about this, but your kids are overcrowded in classrooms and gangs are spreading like wildfire, but you're concerned about Jamie Foxx's rich ass! Niggas! The big fuss is about the special airing against American Idol, that shit is on like every damn night! However, the show is re-airing on Friday anyway. Besides, what are Black folks doing watching American Idol anyway, they've already reached the quota for Black winners?
The boy Kobe exploded for 81 points against the Toronto Raptors on Sunday night. That's the most points in the NBA since Wilt Chamberlain's 100 back in 1962. Many people are weighing in on which feat is more of an accomplishment, arguing Kobe had the use of the 3 point line, but Wilt was 7'1 and there wasn't anyone else around his size. Kobe is 6'6 and had to weave through defenders to get to his 81. Either way, it was a historic night, repeats are running on NBATV all this week!
I'm going to get back at yall later today with something special.
